WHERE DO I END MY RIDE?

You must end your ride back at the same sharing station where you started your ride.

Lama Scooter rentals are different from other electric kick scooter rentals you may have seen in other cities. Lama is based on a round-trip model, whereas you rent a scooter, and it is yours for the duration of that rental period. You can pause your rental to shop, dine, explore, etc., but you must end your ride by returning the Lama scooter to the same charging rack location where you initiated the rental. Failure to do so will result in a $100 fine and up to an additional maximum daily fee.

SCOOTER PROBLEMS

THE LOCK CABE IS NOT UNLOCKING/RELEASING?

In some rare cases, the cable does not automatically drop/release from the lock. We can typically resolve this by having you apply some gentle downward pressure on the cable where it is inserted in the lock. (see image)

Once you have your hand on the cable and are gently pulling down on the cable, click the “Pause Ride” button, and the lock will release. After it releases, click the “Resume Ride to Continue” button and resume your ride.

MY SCOOTER STOPPED AND WILL NOT GO?

While it is uncommon for a scooter to encounter a major issue and stop functioning, it’s important to remember that they are mechanical devices, and occasional glitches can occur.

In some cases, simply waiting for a moment can resolve the problem, and the scooter will resume its normal operation. This may happen when a rider sends too many commands too quickly, causing the scooter to lag momentarily. Waiting a few minutes and then attempting again is recommended in such situations.

However, if the scooter’s dashboard displays an error message, it is advisable to use the chat feature, and a Lama Customer Service Agent will provide further assistance. It’s important to take note of the specific error message provided and communicate it to the customer service representative to aid in troubleshooting.
