Lama Mobility is different than your average scooter rideshare company. We specialize in roundtrip rentals of electric kick scooters for hotels, cruise ship ports, and more, providing a customized solution that includes our Lama scooters, cellphone app, and charging rack. Our program resolves the problem of abandoned scooters’ littering sidewalks, parks, and other public spaces while keeping scooters charged.
Riders utilize our cell phone app to rent the scooters and are charged by the hour for use. Our scooter’s integrated locking system enables the rider to secure the scooters to the Lama Mobility charging rack, public bike racks, etc. Providing peace of mind for riders to pause, enjoy a meal, shop, view attractions, etc., without concern for their scooter being scooped up by another person. Traditional dockless rideshare programs operate on a first-come, first-served basis and do not provide the rider the ability to pause the ride or reserve the scooter for when they are not riding. Guests at hotels, cruise ship passengers, and marina patrons that traditionally look to explore their surroundings, often pausing throughout the day to stop for a meal, go shopping, sightseeing, view an attraction, etc. need the ability to ensure that transportation will be there when they are ready to use it and not be subject to someone else taking the scooter wherever they pause to enjoy their surroundings. Lama Mobility provides this while organizing scooters instead of cluttering up sidewalks of cities with abandoned scooters.
Lama Mobility’s system is fully autonomous and does not require an assisted sale or additional personnel on the part of the provider. For the rider, it’s as easy as downloading the app, inputting basic information, and a scan of the QR code on the scooter to start their riding experience.

Lama Mobility has developed a charging rack solution used to neatly organize and charge a large variety of electric scooters for the micro-mobility revolution. Its modular design allows for multiple configurations to park and charge 2 to 12 scooters within a small footprint, requiring only a standard 110v outlet. The scooter charging rack features a large LED screen that can be used for advertisement and/or instructions. These racks are where the start of the Lama fun begins and where the riders will return the scooters at the end of their use.
The Lama Mobility micro-mobility scooter charging rack is available to purchase for other ride share scooter programs as well. Providing rideshare companies, municipalities, transit authorities, schools, retail centers and more a physical infrastructure to keep scooters organized, charged and ready to roll.
We value the safety of our riders and the pedestrians, bicycles, and vehicles that share paths with scooters. Lama Scooters are restricted to riders 18 years and older. We believe that the first step in safety is education; therefore, we take extra steps to educate our riders before stepping on a scooter. Our charging racks include either a digital screen or static display to exhibit a series of safety information and educational videos (digital display only). Our Lama Mobility app features an instructional video during the registration process, and before starting, pausing, or ending a ride, instructions are provided via images, animation and short text. Our scooters feature a bright headlight and marker lights, keeping the rider visible in all light conditions and a loud bell to warn others of the rider’s presence. Shock absorbers and an extra-large baseboard for the rider to stand on provide comfort and ride control. Throttle and brake hand controls offer better management and familiarity. Our platform allows for the automatic reduction of scooter speed and access restriction to specified areas utilizing geofencing. We encourage riders to be safe and to respect the surrounding community.
